UNESCO (Organisation der Vereinten Nationen für Erziehung, Wissenschaft und Kultur) ist eine Internationale Organisation. Zu den Aufgaben der UNESCO gehören die Förderung von Erziehung, Wissenschaft und Kultur sowie auch Kommunikation und Information im Bereich Menschenrechte.1945 wurde diese Organisation von 37 Staaten in London gegründet. Insgesamt umfasste die UNESCO-Liste des Welterbes im Juli 2010 911 Denkmäler in 187 Ländern.

UNESCO was established in 1945 in London, UK. The Constitution of UNESCO was introduced and signed by 37 countries. As of 2010, 911 sites in 187 countries from all over the world are listed as the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
